Position Description:

  • Market Metrix is looking for a sales person in Europe. The primary purpose is to prospect, set appointments and calls on potential clients within a set territory, in order to promote and sell Market Metrix products. The person in this position will call on high-level managers within the hotel industry to conduct client needs analysis, demonstrate Market Metrix product range uniqueness and obtain commitment to purchase recommended products.
  • This is a home based position. Market Metrix will provide hardware and software required to perform the tasks, and reimburse expenses related to connection costs – phone bills, internet connection – and other associated expenditures.
  • Candidate is willing to travel – customer presentations will be given through the Internet using online presentation tools (Webex…), or in person at customer’s offices.
  • Candidate has extensive knowledge of the hotel industry (sales, marketing or distribution). Alternatively, candidate has deep knowledge of end-customer marketing (behavior, loyalty patterns, brand…). Candidate has sales experience, and is used to interacting with customers.
  • Candidate has a Pan-European profile and master at least 2 European languages - perfect English is a must.
  • Candidate is a self-driven, autonomous and focused individual that perform best in a high paced environment, and is also a team player.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prospect, plan and call on existing or potential clients within an assigned territory and/or list of customers, to maximize sales opportunities. Accountable for individual sales goals associated with assigned territory/prospect list.

Complete required contracts and paperwork for order submission following established company policies. Provide clients with order information as needed or as requested.

Create and/or customize client presentations using available templates and presentations tools.

Complete and submit sales calls reports on a timely basis following established guidelines, and uses company databases and workflow as instructed.

Continuously improve knowledge of hotel industry by keeping abreast of changes in the market. Continuously improve knowledge of Market Metrix product offering.

Candidate profile and qualification:

· Ability to prospect and match product solutions to client needs in an assigned territory. Good understanding of hotel marketing and customer loyalty challenges.

· Computer Skills: Proficient with MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook. Familiar with sales related software.

· Ability to apply negotiation skills to a variety of sales situations, to ask relevant questions to uncover needs, identify closing barriers and overcome objections.

· Ability to communicate with all levels of management within a client and Market Metrix organization.

· Ability to manage and maintain a prospect pipeline which follows company prospecting requirements.

· Capable of managing a database of contacts, identifying decision-makers and setting appointments with high level managers.

· Excellent communication skills (written and oral) required and effective presentation skills under a variety of conditions (one-on-one, group, team).

· Ability to identify and capture market/client trends and communicate findings to management.

· Autonomous individual – ability to manage his or her own schedule and workflow.

· Ability to leverage existing network within the hotel industry is a plus
